Sony mobile surprises their fans by rolling out the December month security patch for their flagship handsets. Currently the December patch is available for its high-end smartphones like Xperia XZ, XZs and X Performance. The build number for all these three devices are same 41.3.A.2.24. Recently Sony had pushed the Android 8.0 Oreo update for these devices.
Sadly, the company didn’t disclose the detailed changelog about this update. As for now we know it installs the December month patch. This update may also include performance enhancements and bug fixes for these devices. There’s no word about the size of this update, but we can expect the security patches will not come in large size.
Sony will send this security software update through OTA in stages. Normally the OTA update will take some time to reach all devices. So connect your device to wifi network and wait for the official OTA. To perform manual update just tap Settings menu and choose About Phone option. Don’t forget to charge the device battery above minimum level which will save your device from installation errors.
