Moto Z Play now receiving December security update

Just a month back Motorola rolled out Nougat software upgrade for selected Moto G and Z series. But for Moto Z Play the company is still testing the Nougat OS and no word about official release. The Indian variant of Moto Z Play handsets are begins to receive android security patch update. The update also comes in small size 35.5MB. This firmware includes December month security patch, stability enhancement and other bug fixes. It also brings new version MPNS24.104-56-10.

The company is now pushing out this update through regular OTA. Connect your device to WiFi/ Mobile network and wait for the official OTA notification. The software update will take 10 mins for installation so you can’t use any service during this time. For manual update checking go to Settings > About phone > Software updates. We can also expect the Android 7.0 Nougat update within this Q1 of 2017.
