Apple iOS 11.2.6 rolling out to fix Telugu character bug

Few days back, Apple iPhone and iPad users had track down the crashing issue on messaging apps. This bug will lead the devices to freeze whenever they try to send or receive the certain Indian Telugu character via any Messenger apps. Now the manufacturer has released a new software update to fix this issue. This incremental firmware update brings new iOS version 11.2.6 for both iPhone and iPad devices.

Apple has officially confirmed this software update roll out on their support page. The following devices are eligible to receive this firmware – iPhone 5s & later, iPad Air & later and iPod touch 6th gen. The changelog of this update has also revealed by the screenshot.

- External accessories connectivity issue on third party apps has been fixed

The download size will vary by devices, but some users are getting this update in lower size 41.5 MB. Other Apple products are also getting the new software update - macOS High Sierra 10.13.3, watchOS 4.2.3 and tvOS 11.2.6.

Apple users can download this update in two methods - OTA and iTunes. To download via OTA connect your iPhone or iPad to wifi network and check for software update from Settings > General > software update. If you prefer another method install the iTunes on your PC then connect you device via lightning cable. After selecting your device model, click the summary section and again click the check for update option. Once it is available for your device download and install it, otherwise you need to wait for the official update.
