Alcatel 5V with top notch display goes official

Today Alcatel brand has announced a new smartphone in its ‘5’ series and named as Alcatel 5V. This is the first smartphone from this manufacturer which houses iphone-like Top Notch display. The official press release also reveals the pricing and availability of this handset. Starting from this July the Alcatel 5V will release in selected regions for $199.99 USD. It will also arrive in European countries from August 2018 and the launch price  will be 229 euros. Let’s see the specs whether the handset is worth for this price or not.

Alcatel 5V arrives with 6.2-inch HD+ (720 x 1500) display, top notch design and 2.5D curved Dragontrail glass at front. They didn’t specified the os version, but we can expect the handset will be pre-installed with android oreo os. This handset will be powered by Mediatek Helio P22 chipset and octa core processor clocks at 2 GHz. Coming to memory, it has 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and also support expandable memory (up to 128GB). The available biometric security features are fingerprint (placed at back) and face unlock.

At back this device sports 12MP + 2MP dual camera lens and at front it has single 8MP camera for selfies. The camera features EIS sensor, 1080p video recording, PDAF, Real-Time Bokeh, Social Mode, Real-Time Filters and more. Other Connectivity options are WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, HD Voice, USB 2.0, GPS and more.

Alcatel 5V fueled with 4000 mAh large battery, so you need not worry about the usage time. It will be available in two colors Spectrum Black and Spectrum Blue.
