NFC, short form of Near Field Communication, short range of wireless technology similar to Bluetooth Technology to share small data between two electronic devices but without any pass code like Bluetooth transaction. NFC has built-in capabilities to support secure applications.
NFC data transmissions are short range between centimeters only (from a touch to a few centimeters) and therefore it is called as “contactless technology”. NFC takes form of a tiny chip embedded in a device for transaction.
NFC technology is used for some financial transactions, instead of swiping or inserting cards such as credit card, debit card or any value card which contains data. The data transfer between two NFC devices must touch each other for authentication or pair them for Bluetooth. Although NFC technology is similar to RFID technology but not same, RFID technology can read data between many feets but NFC can read between inches(1-2) only.
